"The Opinion Survey" identifies attitudes that support a safe workplace, loss prevention, a drug-free workplace, policies and procedures, consistent attendance and long-term employment. The Opinion Survey provides insights into an applicants attitudes; for that reason, we call it Step One.

  • Hourly and NonExempt
  • Skilled trades
  • Entry level
  • Professional/Managerial

The Opinion Survey identifies applicants with those positive attitudes before the interview process begins. Imagine having the ability to know an applicant's attitudes that are foundational to superior performance before sorting through mounds of job applications.

The Opinion Survey offers versions to fit the unique areas of importance based on the job. All versions include the following:

  • Level of validity - how authentic the applicant responded.
  • Self-assessment statements
  • Post-Survey interview questions
  • Supervisory attitudes
  • Work attitudes
  • Workplace drug-use attitudes
  • Workplace theft attitudes

  • Safety/Risk avoidance attitudes
  • Prospects for long-term employment
  • Customer service
  • Communication
  • Competitiveness
  • Sales attitudes

All system development and validation procedures are based upon, and subscribed to, the guidelines and procedures of the American Psychological Association and the Federal Uniform Guidelines of Employee Selection Procedures. All survey items included in the Opinion Survey instruments are developed, reviewed and validated to meet the equal employment opportunity concerns of the Federal Uniform Guidelines, as well as legislation such as the Americans with Disabilities Act, privacy and fair employment legislation and related requirements.

The Opinion Survey administrative system enables your organization to collect the information necessary to conduct studies related to EEOC compliance and absence of adverse impact.

It has been shown repeatedly that using a demonstrably valid assessment provides greater protection from illegal hiring practice claims than you would otherwise enjoy. Since the introduction in the early 1980's, millions of applicants have taken the Opinion Survey. In that time, not one employer has ever suffered an adverse court judgment or administrative ruling related to the use of the Opinion Survey assessments.

The Opinion Survey is non-threatening and informative. The results are valid, reliable and accurate.
